Some studies show that high levels of polyphenols can cause some nausea in a few people, especially during the start of use or if consumed on an empty stomach. This nausea is not dangerous but it can be unpleasant. The reasons for the symptoms of nausea are not fully understood but researchers have suggested that the different tolerances might be due to variations in the composition of the gut microbiome or genetic factors. To prevent these symptoms, we recommend that PhyterBerry Organic Aronia Juice is consumed with food and diluted to a strength that suits an individual's palate. Therefore, we recommend that during the first few days of use, the dose is gradually increased to work up to our recommended amount of 100ml per day.

For optimum benefits, take in two separate servings each day. Avoid consuming with bananas as they contain enzymes that may deactivate polyphenols.

Aronia berries are naturally very low in sugar so this juice may taste slightly tart at first.  It can be sweetened, but for maximum benefit we recommend that any amount of sweetner be kept to a minimum.
